Course Description

Designed for those already familiar with 3ds Max but who require detailed knowledge of the more advanced features. This hands on course will include advanced modeling techniques, advanced animation, mapping, advanced lighting and mental ray. You are welcome to bring your existing 3ds Max generated models and sequences to work on during the course if you wish. You should have completed our 3ds Max course or have an equivalent working knowledge of 3ds Max. The course is suitable for students who aim to master a career in fields involving graphics design, multimedia, creative advertising and digital art.

 

During the course you’ll learn how to:

• More Detailed Box Modeling Techniques, Tips, and Tricks;

• Edge Copying Technique;

• Combine Multiple Modeling Concepts to Create Photo-Real Models;

• Materials creation and manipulation;

• Rendering scenes;

• Advanced Lighting effects;

• Advanced Camera operation;

• Animation;

• Atmospheric and render effects;

• Rendering with mental ray;

 

At the completion of the course, you will be able to:

• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of 3D object manipulation;

• Comprehend and apply advanced modelling techniques;

• Create more complicated and sophisticated 3D scenes by using materials, maps, cameras, lighting and atmospheric rendering effects;

• Create high-realistic renders by using Mental Ray;

• Evaluate rendering alternatives;

To take this course you'll need:

• Windows 7 or higher;

• Installed 3D Studio Max 2013, 2014, 2015;

• Computer with 64 bits 3GHz processor;

• Minimum 8GB of RAM;

• Hard Drive 1TB;

• Graphics Card compatible with Direct3D®, or OpenGL®;

• Internet Browser;

• Screen with minimum resolution of 1080 x 900 (1280 x 1024 recommended);

• Sound Card, headphones and microphones;

• Players and plugins: Flash Player 8 or higher;
